A Belgian documentary about our zoo heritage:
1.Lupul- The wolf
Thanks to a donation made by the Hungarian city of Veszprem, former European Capital of Culture in 2007, now we have unique species of wolves in Romania: the Iberian wolf. It's a family of six adults and youngsters. They were accustomed to our climate is quite favorable for them. The Zoo of Sibiu(Romanian capital of Culture in 2008) is a warm home for these animals. source
2.Ursul- The bear
Romania has between 6000 and 8000 bears(last real count was in 1999! Since this year there are only approximations), represented 40% of EU bears.

In those area -Harghita county- there are 246 bears(instead of 28) and feeding them is a big problem this time.

3.Vulpea-The fox
Surprising images on a slope of Sinaia. A fox became friends with athletes and even eat from the hand of those who guessed weakness, chocolate. Friendly between humans and wild animal takes only when in their pockets there is a square of chocolate. Yes, foxes loves chocolate.However, it is not good what do tourists. Foxes can thus become easy target for poachers. source

To capture this framework, the photographer Silviu Matei lived one week in a hammock between some trees, 3 m above the ground, in the mountains of Maramures county, northern Romania, as Suceava county. Other informations about lynx, from a very interesting research project.
