The number of bears, wolves, lynx and wild cats in Suceava county forests are evaluated in the field for two months by mixed teams of Forestry and Hunting Inspectorate , along with representatives of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The hunting grounds belonging to the Forest Directorate Suceava hunting is permitted only in cases where wild animals cause damage and endanger lives.Our Ministry of Environment and Forests has established the number of interventions to wolf, bear, lynx and deer(showing that, until middle March have been hunted 40 of deer, the maximum line, and seven wolves). It will can be hunted 7 bears and between 3 to 18 wolves. Wolf can be hunted until March 31 and bear until May 15. Michael Miheţiu, chief of Suceava's foresters, insisted that wolves were necessary interventions as this animal produced significant damage of deer herds. "The wolves have devoured about 40 copies of deer extremely valuable," said Miheţiu.
Foreign hunters have expressed their interest in participating in wolf hunting. Fee of a hunter is 500 euros plus an extra charge for organizers of 50 euros per day.
This winter was a harsh one, so wolves were worse than normal. About a pack of wolves attacks on animals in villagers households.
